The doors of our secret Speakeasy Comedy Club venue opened in Newcastle upon Tyne on the evening of Friday 20th May, with our Geordie audience taking to their seats in excited anticipation of laughter without apology.
The show was opened by Michael O’Bernicia, a proud Geordie himself, doubling up as MC and accomplished comic, to roars of appreciative laughter.
This was followed by not one but two headliner acts, to the delight of the audience. Steve Hughes and Craig Campbell, easily some of the funniest, most admired and definitely non-PC comics of all time, each delivered their individual and very unique stand-up comedy acts with impeccable timing and inimitable humour.
